Chondroitin is an organic chemical compound from the group of mucopolysaccharides, built from glucuronic acid residues and N-acetylgalactosamine. It is naturally synthesized in the human body, but the ability to produce it decreases with age. This component is found in bovine cartilage and in dietary supplements.

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble organic compound which, as an exogenous substance, must be regularly supplied to the body through food or in the form of supplements. It is found in foods such as peppers, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, kiwi, strawberries, and blackcurrants.
