Arginine is an organic chemical compound from the group of relatively exogenous amino acids, which can be naturally produced by the human body, but not always in sufficient amounts. Therefore, this compound can also be supplied through food or dietary supplements. L-arginine can be found in protein-rich foods such as nuts, dairy products, meat, fish, seafood, legumes, and pumpkin seeds. Arginine is an amino acid which, along with L-citrulline and L-ornithine, is an intermediate product in the urea cycle, and also a substrate for the synthesis of nitric oxide (NO) and creatine production.
