WHAT IS L-GLUTAMINE?
Glutamic acid is a conditionally essential amino acid found mostly in blood and muscle.
It acts as a buffer in blood plasma, helping eliminate ammonia from protein metabolism, together with L-alanine.
Ammonia is broken down via the liver and kidneys, which are the biggest consumers of glutamic acid.
Additionally, glutamic acid is needed by:
