OstroVit Niacin 250 NO-FLUSH is a source of vitamin B3.
Niacin, also known as vitamin PP or vitamin B3, is a water-soluble vitamin of the B group. It can be synthesized in the human body to some extent from the amino acid tryptophan, but should also be provided externally through diet. Vitamin PP is found in animal products such as meat, fish, or eggs.
When using niacin-containing food supplements, a phenomenon known as niacin flush may occur — a reaction caused by the immediate release of nicotinic acid, resulting in increased blood flow through vasodilation.
